ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
I’m Tissy ter Reehorst, founder and creative director of The Elite Group.
With over 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality and international events — from Dubai and Amsterdam to Italy — I now specialise in designing destination celebrations across Italy’s most extraordinary locations.
Having worked with international clients throughout my career, I understand both the excitement and the challenges of planning a celebration in another country — and I guide my clients through the process with clarity, care and trusted local expertise.
Originally from the Netherlands and now happily based in Italy with my Italian husband and our two children, my career began in hospitality, PR and international events. Over the past 15 years I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the world’s most renowned hospitality brands including Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Waldorf Astoria and Armani Hotels.
But it was while planning my own wedding in Puglia that I truly discovered my calling. That experience — deeply emotional and profoundly meaningful — revealed the magic of destination weddings in Italy and inspired the vision behind The Elite Group.

Today, I work with international couples, private clients and brands to create celebrations across Italy’s most enchanting regions — from the vineyards of Tuscany and the shores of Lake Como, to the dramatic coastline of the Amalfi Coast and the authentic landscapes of Puglia.
